* A Reliable, Versatile, Advanced, and Expandable Messaging Solution
|
The VA FMS is an OpenSource-based total message solution designed to
provide reliability, versatility, high performance, and expandability to a multitude
of organizations, all the way from medium-sized groups up to large-scale network
service providers (even those with million-plus accounts). Built to cover a wide and
complex range of product combinations (MTA, POP, IMAP, SPAM countermeasures, etc.)
and run on various mail systems, this solution provides a highly flexible
answer to your needs.
|
Features
Superior System Expandability |
 |
Individual mail system functions
(MTA/IMAP/POP/LDAP)are broken into separate components, and
message data goes through the NFS server while the user profile
data is dealt with by LDAP. This design allows for a very simple
process by which servers, etc., can be added to a system when
there is an increase in users or in traffic levels, and also
helps contribute to improving overall system performance.
|
 |
Reliability at the Service Level |
 |
FlexMessaging Solution was designed
to provide complete redundancy for individual servers (which
account for specific mail system functions) and for network
equipment as well. Accordingly, as FlexMessaging Solution is
designed to allow for uninterrupted service in the case of a
localized fault, it is a large-scale mail system solution that
truly provides reliability and stability. |
 |
Flexible MTA Design |
 |
A flexible MTA (incoming, pop,
outgoing, drop, etc.) design means that the individual modules
that compose the MTA can be run either on a single server or
on separate servers. This allows for a high-degree of flexibility
in regard to system size and the amount of traffic, making FlexMessaging
Solution appropriate for both smaller organizations and large-scale
systems (1 million-plus accounts). |
 |
Open Source-Based Solution |
 |
As all components in FlexMessaging
Solution are Open Source it possible to develop unique and finely
tuned answers, allowing for the creation of additional functions
and for dealing with high-volume traffic. Accordingly, the overall
system does not become an impenetrable black box and accurate
assessments and the appropriate support for system faults and
the need for expanded functionality (including the kernel itself)
can be provided. |
 |
Coordinated with other VA Products |
 |
FlexMessaging Solution uses
VA Balance (load balancing program), VA Directory (an LDAP directory),
and the VA Core OS. This allows for highly cohesive operations,
making for a stable and secure overall system. Likewise, this
coordination also facilitates a single and unified support package.
|
 |
Suitable for Enterprise-Class Systems |
 |
With the addition of a variety
of improved and modified functions, FlexMessaging Solution provides
a robust and high-performance solution suitable for carrier-
and enterprise-class systems, which demand reliability.
